| Abstract: | In order to evaluate the ecological status in Yantai City preferably, on the basis of ecological footprint, ecological footprint of Yantai City in 2008 was calculated using cmergy analysis and ecological footprint model, and the impact of international trade and travel as the amendment value on the ecological energy was taken into account. The results showed that ecological deficit of Yantai City was as high as 2. 307 7 hm^2 in 2008. Further analysis of ecological status indicated that large population, unreasonable consumption style and low rate of resource utilization were the key reasons of ecological imbalance. |
