摘    要:基于Harris角点检测方法的基本原理,提出了一种轮廓特征点提取的新方法。为了满足提取掌纹轮廓特征点的要求,根据掌纹中所要提取的轮廓特征点所在区域的生理特征(凸凹形区域),对Harris角点检测方法进行了改进,对算法进行了推导和讨论,并进行了实验研究。实验结果表明,用该方法提取的掌纹轮廓特征点能够方便地对掌纹进行定位,为实现掌纹自动识别算法打下了基础。

Abstract:A new method to detect the contour characteristic points of the palmprint was proposed based on the basic principles of the Harris corner detection.The Harris corner detection was improved according to the physiological features(the convex and concave areas) of the palmprint region where the contour characteristic points need to be detected.The algorithm was derived and discussed,and the experiments were performed.The results show that the contour characteristic points of the palmprint dectected by the proposed new method could orient conveniently the palmprint,providing a basis for automatic recognition of the palmprint.
