摘    要:当通过窄带连接进行图像传输时,渐进图像传输可以减少用户等待时间,提高浏览速度。目前,大部分PIT技术未能充分考虑人眼视觉特性,只注重重构图像的客观质量。本研究充分根据人眼视觉特性提出了一种基于改进PSBShift ROI编码的图像渐进传输方法,实际应用表明,采用该ROI编码方法比JPEG2000 ROI编码标准算法更适合渐进传输。

Abstract:Progressive image transmission can help reducing the latency time and raise the browsing speed when transmitting images over low band links.At present,only the objective quality of the reconstructed image rather than the characteristic of human sight is considered with most of the existing PIT techniques.Based on the consideration of the characteristic of human sight,a new progressive image transmission approach based on ROI coding method has been proposed in this paper to improve the subjective quality of the transmission process.The result of experiments show that the new approach is more suitable for progressive image transmission than the JPENG2000 ROI standard coding method.
