Abstract: | This article looks at the new developments with ePTFE fibers from W. L. Gore & Associates: high tensile strength at high temperatures, improved abrasion properties, consistent fiber diameters, density specific to application, textured surfaces on demand, controlled elasticity modulus which is adjustable in a wide range, plus the ability to bind a large number of fillers. New stabilized low shrinkage 100% PTFE fabrics have been made possible for the first time through application of a patent pending technology. |
