| Abstract: | It has been found that feeric chloride was superior to H2SO4 when used as catalyst for esterification of isoamyl alcohol with butyric acid.The optimum reaction conditions in synthesis of isoamyl butyrate catalyzed with ferric chloride were determined,with the yield at 91.6%. |
