| Abstract: | Sniffing and anti sniffing are very difficult problems of network security that we encounter. In this paper, an introduction to the packet sniffer and its design is given. Some methods of how to defend network against packet sniffers are analysed, several methods of detecting packet sniffers are proposed also. |
