On Pragmatic Failures in Intercultural Communication

This paper discusses the principal reasons for the obstacles, conflicts and misunderstandings in intercultural communication as the aspects in which pragmatic failures occur. It proposes that in intercultural communication, one should pay attention to other cultural norms and language nroms and try to avoid understanding the others according to his own way of expressing habits, thus, improving his ability in communication.
