摘    要:Nine analogues of telmisartan, 2-substituted benzimidazol-N-biphenyl acid, were designed and synthesized, from substituted benzimidazoles reacted with methyl 4'-(bromomethyl)- -biphenyl-2-carboxylate, then hydrolysis with KOH in MeOH and H2O. Their structures were confirmed by IR, 'H NMR, MS spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The crystal structure of 4'-(2-n-propyl-1H-benzimidazol-lyl) methyl] biphenyl-2-carboxylic acid was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
