Abstract: | A two-phase analytic approach to robotic system design is presented. The first phase evaluates the robotic technological classes according to their functional adequacy; the next phase specifies the desired robotic configuration. The methodology developed here is demonstrated for the case of installing a robot in an automated investment casting shelling production line. |
