Abstract: | We present a polarization sensitive device showing an adjustable bistable switching behavior. It exhibits switching contrasts of up to 30 dB, electrooptical gains of 40 dB, and an angle hysteresis which can be tuned between 0° and 60°. Furthermore, the polarization characteristics are independent of the incident optical power |
