Impact of the initial state on the structure and properties of the ordered CuAu alloy

Abstract:The microstructure has been studied and the temperature dependences of the electrical resistance and linear expansion have been constructed for the samples of the equiatomic CuAu alloy during heating from the initially quenched and preliminarily deformed states. The appearance of a texture has been detected during ordering from the deformed state. The dependences of changes in the alloy volume during heating have been plotted. The observed features are discussed in terms of relaxation processes occurring in the alloy during the order-disorder phase transformation.
