Abstract: | Blind modulation classification has been applied in adaptive transmission, non-cooperative communications, and interference identification. This paper propose a novel hierarchical classifier for four digital modulation schemes. The hierarchical classifier is based on quasi-log-likelihood ratio. Its performance is verified via extensive simulations. Simulation results show that the hierarchical algorithm is effective for classification of four SQAM signals.
