Abstract:Spiral-wound heat exchanger(SWHE)is the main cryogenic heat exchanger in the floating liquefied natural gas production,storage and offloading unit(FLNG).Researches on the change of its heat transfer performance in sea conditions are of great significance to the comprehensive performance improvement of FLNG in marine environment.In this paper,the heat transfer process of falling film flow outside the inner tube of SWHE is taken as the research object,and heat transfer models of falling film flow outside circular tube and sinusoidal corrugated tube with elliptical cross section are established to analyze and compare the local circumferential heat transfer coefficient and the average heat transfer coefficient in horizontal static and rolling conditions.The results show that under horizontal static conditions,the heat transfer ability of sinusoidal corrugated tube with elliptical cross section is higher than that of circular tube.Under rolling conditions,the maximum roll angle has little effect on the local circumferential heat transfer coefficient of sinusoidal corrugated tube with elliptical cross section at its worst heat transfer performance,while the roll period has almost no effect on that.Moreover,the roll time,maximum roll angle and roll period have no effect on the average circumferential heat transfer coefficient of circular tube and sinusoidal corrugated tube with elliptical cross section.The comparative analysis shows that the anti-sloshing ability of sinusoidal corrugated tube with elliptical cross section is worse than that of circular tube,but its heat transfer performance is still better than that of circular tube under sloshing conditions.The research results of this paper have a certain reference value for the design and performance optimization of the SWHE.
