Abstract:
Pulsed photothermal radiometry is used for the determination of the convection coefficient. The theoretical analysis of the transient wall temperature after a brief excitation is based on the use of the zeroorder temporal moment. Different solutions to determine the convection coefficient from experimental thermograms are proposed and tested for insulating walls as well as conducting ones. Experimental results are compared to those given by a dissipation fluxmeter in order to validate the pulsed method.
