Applications of videoconference system in Baoji No.2 Electric Power Plant

With the development of signal processing technique and its application,the Videoconference System(VCS) has become a main visual communication method.Taking Baoji No.2 Electric Power Plant as an example,this paper introduces the VCS technical realization and its application.According to the communication method used,the realization of VCS is divided into two modes,one is the hardware mode based on the embedded architecture and another is the software mode based on the PC architecture,and the two modes have their own advantages and features respectively.This paper introduces and analyzes the standard protocols of VCS communication,and points out that H.323 protocol will be adopted in the future VCS.Based on the VCS practical use,the hardware composition and the network-construction experience are introduced.Additionally,the problems that need to be adverted while using VCS are given.
