儒家文化与东亚现代化

东亚金融危机前，许多学者认为是儒家文化促进了东亚的经济起飞，金融危机后，这种观点又受到了诘难，应该说，儒家文化对东亚现代化既有积极的一面，又有消极的一面，东亚现代化之所以成功，是由于东亚各国较早地进行了文化转型和文化创新，东亚现代化的成功和挫折启示我们，要超越东西方的传统价值观，走自己的路，积极进行文化创新。

Confucianism and East Asian Modernization

Before the East Asian economic crisis, many scholars believed that confucianism had promoted the prosperity of East Asian economy. However, the belief was challenged with the outbreak of the crisis. Objectively speaking, confucianism has both positive and negative effects upon East Asian modernization. It is their earlier efforts to carry out cultural transformation and innovation that have lead to the successful realization of modernization in these countries and areas. The lesson to learn from their success and setbacks is: People should surpass the traditional values of both the east and the west, take their own route, be active in bringing forth new cultural ideas.
