Abstract:Studies of Cr(III) extraction with carboxylic acids showed that the extraction process takes place at a pH of the aqueous phase ranging from 4 to 5. It was shown that sodium chloride is active with respect to chromium(III) as a salting-out agent. For extraction of Cr(III) with hexanoic acid it was shown that in the organic phase trinuclear complexes of the [Cr(OH)R2·HR]3 formula are formed.
