| Abstract: | The research development of PcBN tools in hard machining was summarized with respect of the cutting behavior of PcBN tools, the characteristic of cutting forces, the mechanism of saw tooth chip and the metal softening effect, the residual stress of the cutting surface, wear mechanisms of PcBN tools, etc, and it is hoped that these respects of PcBN tools will be emphasized in domestic so as to make full use of the benefits offered by PeBN cutting tools. |
