| Abstract: | In this paper, the effect of diesel cetane number on the lower heating value of diesel fuel, and on the thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption, exhaust temperature and exhaust smoke of diesel engine is studied; Relative curves from test results are presented; the inherent relationship between diesel cetane number and the said engine performance parameters is discussed. |
