Abstract:To analyze the influence of wind-driven flow on the water environment of Gonghu Bay, this paper built a two-dimensional hydrodynamic and water quality model of Gonghu Bay based on the MIKE21, and studied the relationship between TN, TP, NH;-N migration changes and wind-drift circulation. The results show that the model meets the requirement of error, and can accurately simulate the migration and diffusion process of pollutants in Gonghu Bay affected by wind-drift flow;The different wind directions have a significant impact on the lake flow;The lake has the lowest velocity of the year in summer, causing weaker water fluidity and exchange capacity, an cyanobacteria is prone to eruption;Under the action of wind-drift circulation, offshore concentration of pollutants decreases and pollutants spreads to the center of Gonghu Bay, showing a trend of “homogenization” of water quality;In a way, wind-drift circulation promotes the “homogenization” of water quality in Taihu. The results are useful for water pollution control and water environmental control in Gonghu Bay and Taihu.
