Abstract:The dynamic interaction between retaining wall and soil is the key factor affecting the seismic response of retaining wall.To analyze retaining wall-soil dynamic interaction based on the continuum medium model is the main study method at present.However,the current continuum medium model can’t obtain the accurate expression of each physical quantity in retaining wall-soil dynamic interaction to hinder the disclosure of seismic response mechanism of retaining wall.Here,a continuous medium model was improved by introducing the least square response surface method,and compared with the existing methods,the dynamic response of retaining wall under earthquake was studied with the improved model.The retaining wall soil-dynamic interaction was divided into flexural stiffness of retaining wall,soil continuous action,soil spring action,soil body inertial force action and retaining wall inertial force action.The study results showed that the proposed model can provide simple and accurate calculation for dynamic response of retaining wall;parametric analysis reveals translation factor and rotation factor are very sensitive to frequency of incident wave,and are also largely affected by relative flexibility coefficient of retaining wall,while internal force of retaining wall is very sensitive to relative flexibility coefficient,rotation degree coefficient and incident wave frequency,and constraint conditions also more largely affect dynamic response of retaining wall.
