Abstract: | Rapidly solidified NiAl–28Cr–6Mo–B–Dy prealloyed powder doped with Nb powder was consolidated by hot pressing under 1250 °C for 30 min at 30 MPa. The consolidated material exhibited a different microstructure from the original powder, i.e. the NiAl and Cr(Mo) plates in the eutectic cell tend to break down into short platelets or even particles during hot pressing process. The mechanical behaviors at room temperature and at high temperature of consolidated sample from powder alloy were evaluated by three-point bending technique, tensile test and compressive test. The results showed that the hot pressing alloy possessed a reasonable combination of room temperature ductility and toughness, and elevated temperature strength. |
