Data Access in Grid Environments

Data access makes users in different storage environment can access data effectively. This article introduced the main technology about data access in grid environment. It also discusses that when accessing data on local or remote resource, the access method needs to consider several aspects; the minimum unit of transfers and access patterns; supporting for metadata management and two standards related to data access.
