Abstract: | Statistical chains have been generated inside a sphere of variable radius R. The mean square root end-to-end distance, the radius of gyration, and the entropy of the chains have been determined as a function of R for absorbing boundary (AB) and reflecting boundary (RB) statistics to be defined below in this paper. It is found that the entropy change ΔS from the unbounded (free)chain varies as R?2 for AB statistics and as R?1 for RB statistics. |
