Abstract:As key flexible resources in distribution networks, remote controllable switch (RCS) and mobile emergency generator (MEG) play important roles in enhancing the resilience of distribution networks. However, existing studies mainly focus on the service restoration stage after faulted lines are precisely isolated, usually the impacts of fault isolation stage on distribution networks are neglected. Two-stage reconfiguration method for resilience enhancement of distribution networks is proposed considering the optimal pre-positioning of MEGs. By positioning MEGs and forming several MEG islands before extreme natural disasters, the ability of distribution networks to resist extreme natural disasters can be enhanced. After extreme natural disasters, RCSs and positioned MEGs can quickly recover the load which is out of service. Finally, the IEEE 33-bus distribution system is employed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Keywords:distribution network  resilience  mobile emergency generator  remote controllable switch  network reconfiguration
