Abstract:Summary A survey is given of the micro determination of three major lipide classes: cholesterol, triglycerides, and phospholipides. The merits of a popular direct method for serum cholesterol and a system for rapid chromatographic separation of esterified cholesterol from other lipides have been discussed. Presented at the 49th annual meeting, American Oil Chemists' Society, Memphis, Tenn., April 22, 1958. This investigation was supported in part by a grant from the National Heart Institute, National Institutes of Health, United States Public Health Service (H-2181).
