Abstract:The paper introduces the way to synthesize N-ethyl aniline and N,N-diethyl aniline from aniline and ethanol using phosphorus oxychloride as catalyst.The effects of reaction temperature,pressure,mass of catalyst,the molar ratio of ethanol to aniline,and reaction time on the yield of desired products were investigated.The experimental results indicated that N,N-diethyl aniline yield of 67.82% with the total yield of N-ethyl aniline and N,N-diethyl aniline of 95% was obtained when the conversion of aniline was...
