Abstract:The phase composition and morphology of cobalt and nickel powders and nickel foam have been studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The cobalt and nickel powders prepared through solution electrolysis are shown to have a dendritic microstructure. The particle morphology of the nanostructured cobalt and nickel powders and nanostructured nickel foam can be described by a three-level (according to the particle size) model.
