Depolarisation of electromagnetic waves backscattered by finitely conducting gently curved surfaces |

Abstract: | The vector solution for the field backscattered by a finitely conducting surface with radii of curvature much larger than the incident wavelength obtained by the Stratton-Chu method is expressed in a form which gives insight into the dependence of depolarisation on angle of incidence, incident polarisation and on the electrical and geometrical properties of the backscattering surface. |
