Abstract:Nuts are important forest fruit resources in China.They are loved by consumers because of their good taste and high nutritional value.However,the conventional detection methods are all one-time and destructive.Near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS),which is a powerful technique for detection of nuts,has the advantages of fast speed,simple operation,and non-pollution.In this paper,the authors reviewed the application and trends of NIRS technology in detection of the protein,fatty acid,moisture content,starch,mildew,browning,genetic breeding and variety identification of nuts,and discussed the applied prospects to promote its applications to the field of nuts detection research and practical programs in our country.
