Research on Single Phase Third Order SPWM Inverter and Output Compensation

Single phase full-bridge inverter is one of the most common used topologies in middle and low power ap-plications.This paper compares the modulation method of 2nd order SPWM waveform with 3rd order SPWM waveform,and analyses their harmonic frequency spectrum by using double Fourier expansion method.According to the compari-son,3rd order SPWM waveform is better in harmonic reduction.To reduce output harmonic waveform,this paper analy-ses the effect of dead-time to the system,and proposes a harmonic compensation algorithm.Experimental results prove 3rd order SPWM waveform’s advantage and the effectiveness of their compensators.
