| Abstract: | The oil flame mointor detects the flickering signals towards the root of the oil flame,ignoring steady state radiation from hot refractory.The microwave flame monitor measures the attenuation of a beam of microwaves passing through the furnace/flame.The attenuation arises because the electric field in the microwave beam accelerates free electrons in the flame which then makes energy dissipate. |
