Abstract:
Phenomena concerning the temperature variations and the heat transfer are studied in the specific case of oscillating flow with null mean velocity circulating between two infinite walls. A 1D model is established and the interesting scale parameters are deduced from theoretical equations. The particular case of an oscillating laminar flow for incompressible fluid is detailed in order to illustrate and to discuss the effects of thermal interactions between the fluid and walls. Influence of wall length comparatively to the fluid displacement is studied. Conclusions for designing thermal heat exchangers of Stirling engines or PTR are proposed.
