Abstract:Hill collapsing is the most severe type of soil erosion in the southern part of China.It does great harm to the ecological environment and severely prevents the regional economy from developing.Very few regional investigations on the erosion of hill collapsing have been done so far,especially with GPS technology.This paper applied GPS to the field investigation of hill collapsing in Jiangxi Province,found out the types and distribution of the erosion caused by hill collapsing,which is of great help to the controlling of hill collapsing in Jiangxi Province.
