Delaunay Method for Free Flight Conflict Detection

The "Delaunay method", one of the unstructured grid generation methods used in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), is presented and a reasonable predigesting is given in free flight. Then the details of the data management of Delaunay method in flight conflict detection are obtained. The method can rapidly detect flight conflicts and potential conflicts among many planes in the same time and can reduce computation quantity by decreasing unnecessary distance measure. Finally an example on the flight simulation is given and the availability of the method is proved.
