摘    要:提出了将时频编码技术应用于多途效应严重的水声通信领域。时频编码技术是利用信号码元不同时隙的不同频率进行二维信息编码的调制技术,具有较强的抗多途能力,并可获得较高的信息速率。仿真实验表明:在5km左右的水平通信距离上,信息速率可达1kbit/s以上,与MFSK信号比较,误码率明显降低。

Abstract:Up to now we have not seen any paper in the open literature on applying TFSK to underwater acoustic communication. TFSK has two obvious good reasons for applying it to underwater acoustic communication: its good performance against multipath interference and its high data transmission rate. We aim to explore such application. In one sense, we explore its application to a new field. In a second and deeper sense, we improve TFSK and offer UTFSK(Updated TFSK) as a better tool to make its performance against multipath interference better. We omit details of UTFSK to avoid making abstract too lengthy and not readable. Computer simulation results show that TFSK is highly promising for underwater acoustic transmission; over a distance of 5 km, its data transmission rate reaches 1 kbit/s and its error probability, mainly due to multipath interference, is considerably lower than that achievable by MFSK.
