p‐Toluenesulfonylmethyl Isocyanide (TosMIC) and Indium Manifold Strategy to Access β‐Keto‐(E)‐enamino Esters from 1,3‐Dicarbonyl Compounds

The indium trichloride‐catalyzed C C bond formation between 1,3‐dicarbonyl compounds and p‐toluenesulfonylmethyl isocyanide (TosMIC) to access β‐keto‐(E)‐enamino esters exclusively is reported for the first time. The corresponding products are obtained in good to excellent yields.
