电场可调的液晶激光器

摘    要:铁电液晶分子排列具有自组织的周期性螺旋结构,具有一维光子晶体的特征,光在其中传播会出现光子带隙,掺杂激光染料的铁电液晶在泵浦光的激励下在光子带隙的边缘会出现激光辐射,其辐射波长可随着外加电场的改变而调整。文章介绍了这种采用掺杂激光染料的铁电液晶制作的具有电场可调特性的液晶激光器的工作原理及其实现过程。

Abstract:Ferroelectric liquid crystal(FLC)has self-organized helical stuctures,which makes it have the charcter of one-dimension photonic crystal.When light propagates in FLC,the photonic band would emerge.Lasing in dye-doped FLC could occur at the edge of pseudo photonic band under excited by a pump beam,and lasing wavelength could be tuned by the electric field.This paper describes the principle and realization of this electro-tunable liquid crystal laser based on dye-doped FLC.
