Abstract:The charge and distribution of explosives are the decisive factor for the detonation load during the explosive welding process, which has a crucial influence on the interfacial wave of the base composite plate further. In this paper, AUTODYN nonlinear explicit dynamics analysis software is used to simulate the composite process of explosion and welding of the base composite plate, and the pressure curves in the explosive welding process under different charge of explosives are obtained.Combining with theoretical formulas, the relation among explosive charge, detonation load and collision velocity is analyzed, and the influence of the amount of explosive on the interface wave of explosion welding is studied. And set 8 key points on the upper and lower surfaces of the board, the wavy morphology produced by the uniform thickness of explosives and the method of decreasing thickness is compared. The results show that a large charge of explosives will produce a large wave bonding interface in the weldability window; the decreasing thickness of the explosive distribution can eliminate the inhomogeneity of the combined interface wave under the uniform dispensing method, and the vibration damage of the bonded interface under subsequent pressure is significantly reduced.
Keywords:explosive welding  interface wave  detonation load  collision velocity  explosive charge  explosive distribution
