The reserved rock ridge at the front of intake in a water diversion project is connected to the built reservoir, and it is close to the intake tower as well as the built dam, in order to ensure the safety of the surrounding buildings, demolition blasting of the reserved rock ridge on the water-facing slope is carried out first to reduce its thickness, and then the concrete cofferdam and the remaining reserved rock ridge are demolished by layered and zoned. Effective blasting control technical measures are taken during blasting construction, which reduce the construction difficulty, ensure the construction quality and achieved the expected results. Demolition by layered and zoned blasting effectively solves the problem that the cofferdam and reserved rock ridge have been submerged deep in large reservoir and don't need to artificially reduce the water level of the built reservoir for blasting demolition.
