Equaiton of State for Ring and Branched Hard Sphere Chain Fluids

A generalized equation of state for chain fluids has been derived through the r particle cavity correlation function based on a sticky point model for chemical association. The equation has been used to predict the compressibility factors of ring and branched hard sphere chain fluids. Good agreement between the predicted results by this work and that of computer simulation is obtained. The compressibility factors of ring hard sphere chain fluids are less than that of linear hard sphere chain fluids with same chain length. Little differences are found between the compressibility factors of branched hard sphere chain fluids and linear hard sphere chain fluids with same chain length.
