现象学对计算主义的批判

计算主义认为,认知活动的实质就是遵循规则的抽象表征计算,不需要考虑情境和身体在其中的作用,因此计算机完全能够具备人一样的智能。但是,这种设想自产生以来,遭遇了重重挫折。在现象学看来,失败的原因在于:这种设想的哲学根基是错误的。也许,认知科学应该尝试一种现象学的研究进路。

Phenomenology's Critique on Cognitive Science

it is thought by Computationalism that the nature of cognition is based on the manipulation of abstract representations by explicit formal rules,and the role played by the situation and the body can be ignored.Therefore,the computer can have the intelligence exactly as that of the human being.However,the supposition has encountered a lot of problems since it was put forward.From the perspective of the phenomenology,the root of the supposition is wrong.Maybe cognitive science should take a phenomenological way instead of the former one.
