Abstract:The design of a new generation steel plant is of great significance to its practical operations. In order to enhance the accurate design level, an accurate design assessment indicator system for the new generation steel plants was established. This indicator system consisted of 49 terminate and 16 intermediate indicators, and was divided into four categories, which were economics/investment, procedure equipment, process operation high efficiency, and ecologization. The indicator system highlights the features of equipment advancement, process dynamic orderly running, and resource and environmentally friendly for new generation steel manufacturing process, and embodies its functions of steel product manufacturing, energy conversion, and treating of social waste. The accurate design level can be raised by assessment and optimization between design and operation level of a new generation steel plant using the established indicator system.
