The flood risk mapping of European Union and the relevant management are introduced herein, and then the progresses of the corresponding researches in UK and Netherlands are emphatically analyzed.Furthermore, the status of the related study in China is described with the comparison between China and European Union made from the aspects such as fundamental data, study content and method, management mechanism, law and regulation, application area, etc.Thereafter, some considerations on the relevant improvement are put forward, so as to provide references for the further perfection of the flood risk mapping and its management in China.
