工业遗产价值认知拓展——铁路遗产保护回顾

铁路遗产的保护实践拓展了工业遗产的内涵与外延,而火车站是铁路遗产中最具代表性的建筑类型。1960年代,围绕城市历史火车站保护与拆除的问题展开了论争,英国的工业考古学与美国的建筑保护运动开拓了各自的遗产保护领域。首先分析从1950年代开始逐步成熟的相关理论基础,然后简述早期铁路遗产的保护实践,重点回顾铁路遗产保护实践中的"尤斯顿拱门"事件,分析工业遗产认知的转变,从单纯地认识价值转变为在再利用中延续其历史价值。

Expansion Values of Industrial Heritage:Review on the Conservation of Railway Heritage

Railway heritage is an important category under industrial heritage,and the railway station is the most representative building type among them.The conservation of railway heritage has expanded the concept and content of industrial heritage consequently.The movements to preserve urban railway stations in the 1960s,which improved the influence of Industrial Archeology in UK and the awareness of historical landmark in US,are very important events in heritage conservation history.With theoretical preparation after the 1950s,the preservation practices first started in rural lines.This paper reviews ＂The lost of Euston Arch＂ in detail,which is of great influences in subsequent Industrial Archeology practices. The Euston Arch and the following conservation movements changed the attitude of conservationists to continue the historical values with adaptive re-use rather than just preserve as monuments.
