Abstract:Solar photovoltaic power generation is a new environmentally friendly power generation industry,how to design lightning protection and grounding for the power plant is a new challenge. The photovoltaic power plant generally lays on the open beach or open flat roof,as the highest point,it is prone to be damaged by lightning,especially in lightning-prone areas.Once lightning happens,it directly related to the operation of solar modules,photovoltaic array,inverter,transformer and other sensitive equipment,safety of person who maintain plant and social power supply services.Therefore,it is urgent to explore lightning protection technology for solar power plant.Based on the characteristics of lightning where power station located,the area of solar panels,arranged form the surrounding environment and so on,an objective analysis of the probability of direct lightning stroke to photovoltaic power plant is given,comprehensive lightning protection is designed from direct lightning stroke,lightning electromagnetic pulse and grounding.It can effectively protect solar modules from lightning,can ensure normal operation of power cabinet and inverter,and provide security for continuous operation of environmentally friendly energy.
