| Abstract: | The standards set by two companies(RSR in the US and Jiangsu Chunxing Group in P.R.China)were compared with relation to the chemical composition,physical and mechanical performance and acid resistance of lead and lead based alloys.Some experienments on VRLA batteries were made with the aim at determining the effects of bismuth on the performance of the batteries.It is found that the lead oxide containing bismuth can increase battery capacity,specific energy,capacity at high rate discharge and at low temperature as well. |
