摘    要:基于指纹方向场特征,在指纹识别早期阶段实现指纹图像的粗糙对齐,进而分割出两幅指纹图像之间的重叠区域,减少了后续特征提取和匹配阶段需要处理的数据量,并提高了指纹图像匹配准确率。定义了指纹方向差异场,将指纹方向场转换为指纹方向差异场,然后基于指纹方向差异场对齐指纹图像,有效降低了指纹方向场相关性计算过程的计算开销,同时抑制了指纹图像中非线性形变对指纹方向场可能造成的影响。实验结果验证了所提出方法的有效性。

Abstract:Fingerprint orientation field is used to align two fingerprint images coarsely in the early fingerprint image match stage;then the overlapped regions between the two fingerprint impressions are segmented.To avoid spending too much time in correlating two fingerprint orientation images,fingerprint orientation difference field is defined,and before the orientation-field-based fingerprint image alignment,the orientation field is transferred to orientation difference field.It not only reduces the computation cost,but also helps to reduce the effect of global distortion on fingerprint orientation images.Experiment results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy and efficiency of fingerprint image alignment.
