| Abstract: | The author briefs the overseas development trend of industry of linepipe for crude oil and natural gas transport and such aspects of domestic industry of the said product as current production situation, market demand forecast and so forth, emphasizing the necessity and urgency of construction of submerged arc straight welding mills in the country. It is proposed to focus on such issues as removing barriers between different trades, overall planning and constructing a UOE weld pipe line with current world advanced level so as to produce sufficient such products instead of import thereof to meet domestic demand, and meanwhile sharpen the competitive edge in the world market. |
