摘    要:随着科技发展,对大功率的需求越来越高,但是单个固态功率放大器输出功率有限,功率合成技术应运而生。文章介绍了一种利用波导实现Ka波段芯片级功率合成的方法。首先介绍了两路波导功率合成器的模型,分析了影响功率合成效率的因素,推导出合成效率最大化的条件。然后借助HFSS软件进行仿真优化,依托精密机加工技术制作出来的波导功率合成器可以在4GHz带宽内VSWR<1.5,LOSS<0.5dB。合成的基本单元3W模块由两个1.8W的MMIC通过Lange桥合成,在装入壳体合成之前单独调试,确保功率相等,相位一致。最后采用该合路器在35GHz~35.4GHz的工作频率内成功获得100W的合成功率,合成效率达85%以上,测试数据和模拟数据基本吻合。

Abstract:Waveguide combiner has good efficiency, which is suitable for high power and high frequency combining especially.A method of Ka-band power combining using waveguide is proposed and studied in this paper. First, a prototype 2-way waveguide combiner is presented. Some factors effecting the power combining efficiency are discussed., and the max efficiency and its condition are deduced.We use HFSS to simulate, then machining the waveguide combiner by exact process. Its VSWR〈 1.5, LOSS〈0.SdB over 4GHz bandwidth.The 3W module is combined by two 1.8W MMICs using Lange combiner. Debuging befor assembling respectively. Insure they have equivalent power outputs and phases. Measured results show a good agreement with simu- lated ones. Output of over 100W and combining efficiency of over 85% is achieved in the band of operating frequency 35GHz-35.4GHz.
